Krystal N. Clark, M.Ed. is the Founder of Equip To Thrive, LLC, where she creates affirming and accessible personal and professional development experiences for talented, imperfect humans. As a dynamic speaker, certified CliftonStrengths coach, and seasoned facilitator, Krystal partners with individuals and organizations through transformative workshops, retreats, keynotes, and programs rooted in authenticity and growth.
A proud Portsmouth, VA native, Krystal earned her B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from William & Mary and her M.Ed. in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her career spans over two decades in higher education including leadership roles in fraternity & sorority life, student leadership development, and human resources at Duke University and Vanderbilt University. In October 2024, Krystal took on a new role at the Center for Leadership & Organizational Change (CLOC) at the University of Maryland College Park as an Organizational Learning Specialist.
Krystal's professional toolkit includes CliftonStrengths coaching (Top 5: Maximizer, Input, Relator, Focus, Significance), Technology of Participation (ToP) facilitation methods, and #IamRemarkable facilitation with Rmrkblty.Org. She's known for her insightful guidance, compassionate delivery, and commitment to helping people thrive—without the pressure to be perfect.
A passionate community advocate, Krystal made history in 2017 as the first Black President of the Junior League of Nashville. Her service portfolio includes leadership with The Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, the Belcourt Theatre Board, Girls on the Run Middle Tennessee, Leadership Nashville, Nashville Emerging Leaders, and countless other organizations focused on bettering the lives of women and girls and advancing the arts. She is currently a member of the Junior League of Prince George’s County and a volunteer with Girls on the Run Montgomery County.
Krystal is a member of Delta Delta Delta Fraternity and has held many volunteer leadership positions for Tri Delta since her initiation in 2010. She has partnered with many National Panhellenic Conference organizations and through her work with Alpha Chi Omega was honored to receive the 2022 Vision Award.
Krystal is also a contributor to The Freshman Project, where she shares wisdom on student leadership and collegiate success. She’s a friendly face as a part of the Front Desk team at barre3 Bethesda and when she’s not working, you’ll find her reading, planning her next trip, cheering on F1 races, coordinating hangouts with Doodle polls, recommending shows and movies over on Facebook, and dancing and singing loudly at a concert.
